Rachel Jepson is a musician and psychotherapist with years of experience within the music industry. From her ongoing active experience in these dual roles she identified a growing need for a specialist provision within the musicians and music industry environment. Therapists who are also musicians have a unique perspective when working within this demographic and can offer a first hand experience of the music making journey whether professionally or creatively.

Rachel Jepson is a BACP Accredited psychotherapist and hypnotherapist who has been involved in the music industry for over 20 years. Rachel has worked as a session vocalist and has released her own music as a solo artist and as part of bands including Acoustic Folk duo Parent, and currently Black Lake Hotel with guitarist Pete Wilson (Steve Ignorant/Krass). After struggling with her own mental health, in part due to the music industry, Rachel set up Counselling For Musicians in January 2017. She has provided her CPD accredited training course for Mental Health in the Music Industry to hundreds of participants around the world and will be providing the course through Tonic Music from May 2021. Rachel is an affiliate counsellor for BAPAM and Music Support and her book Mental Health in the Music Industry: A Guide is available on Amazon now, proceeds going to music charities working with mental health in the music industry.

In September 2020, Rachel opened The Centre For Mental Health in the Music Industry, a hub for conversation, awareness and change around mental health within the music industry providing training, workshops, support groups and therapy.

Please note-  Rachel is based in the UK, they have vetted every therapist who is UK based. For therapists in other countries, she has requested credentials and have listed those. It is the responsibility of the client seeking support that they liaise with therapists listed on this site and decide whether this is the therapist for them and whether they are happy with the qualifications and governing bodies stated. Rachel has no knowledge or experience of therapist qualifications in other countries, this website simply acts as a database for people seeking support.
